Bipap Auto

BiPap Auto.JPG

The BiPAP auto has a similar design to the Remstar auto but it delivers Bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) which is used when the patients struggle to adapt to CPAP therapy. It emulates natural breathing through pressure relief, for an enhanced level of comfort.

It has 2 pressure settings operating together throughout the therapy. IPAP which stands for inspiratory positive airway pressure and it is the pressure delivered to the upper airway that will prevent it from closing throughout the night and EPAP which stands for expiratory positive airway pressure and is set at a reduced pressure that makes breathing out against the air pressure of CPAP more comfortable.
